JEWELLERY CARE

Please don’t use jewellery cleaning solutions or anything abrasive on your rings. There are all sorts of ingredients added, some of which can literally eat into your beautiful stone causing pitting and clouding. 
Place your ring in a dish of warm water with a drop of dishwashing liquid. Let your ring soak for 5-10 minutes to loosen any buildup. Use a baby toothbrush and gently clean around the stone settings. Be sure to clean under the stone setting as well. Rinse well in warm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

All the cleaning in the world won't take the place of getting your ring professionally cleaned and inspected. We recommend having this done every 6 months. You can do this by either coming into one of our stores or sending your ring to us. This is complimentary, as we want your jewellery to remain as beautiful as when it left us!
Wearing tips:
Jewellery, especially your ring, should be the last thing you put on after clothing, make-up, hairspray and perfume. The chemicals and oils in cosmetics can dull its shine, and prongs or pave settings can catch on clothing.
Let your ring take a break in a safe place while you get busy around the house, in the garden, work out or play sports. Best to store your jewellery properly. Diamonds can scratch other stones, so store each piece separately in a jewellery box or soft pouch.
Always remove your ring when showering or swimming. Soap buildup from the shower can cause your ring to look dull. Swimming in chlorinated water, such as a pool or hot tub, can cause damage and pitting to gold and platinum. If the water is  cold it may cause your fingers to shrink enough so that your ring actually slips off!
Wear with care! We do things every day that can cause our rings to break or bend. Moving heavy items, hoisting luggage, handling heavy pots and pans, lifting weights, biking and many other every day activities should be done while taking care not to put strain on your rings. When in doubt take it off and put in a safe place.

Our wristbands are strung with specialised jewellery elastic. The silicone inside is industrial strength, and it is encased in fine thread. The beads have fairly sharp, rough edges so they can break the fine thread if frequently pulled against one another. To remove your wristband please just roll it off your wrist and over your hand.

It is not advisable to swim with your wristband. The movement of the water can pull it off.

The stone beads and in particular the lava beads are porous. Creams and lotions will change the finished look of the bead.

We pride ourselves on creating exquisite fine jewelry pieces to treasure. We want to remind our customers that with fine jewelry comes the need for careful handling and maintenance. To ensure the longevity of your huggies we ask that you handle them with the utmost love and care.

When putting your huggies on, please be delicate and gentle. When opening these pieces, gently pull each side slightly apart (not the whole way as this might damage the hinge). Place them gently and avoid twisting them, as this will lead to misalignment of the pins and possible breakage. Once you have placed the pin into your ear, click the two ends together so that you can feel that they are securely closed. The use of force to close of these pieces could also lead to the pins snapping, so please handle them with care.

We wear our huggies every single day, but we still advise our customers to handle these pieces delicately to ensure their longevity.
Studs can lose their butterfly while you sleep, and then you can lose your stud! Sometimes the pin can get bent because while you venture through dreamland your earrings are vulnerable to being pressed and pulled by bedding or by your hair.
